Getting Cat Pee Out of Things.....

It has been a while since I have been around. But I need some help. I have a cat that has decided to start peeing all over everything. I have urine odor in my carpet....what is the best thing to get it out????

Hi Jen. The best thing to use is Nature's Miracle or Simple Solution in the formula for cat urine.
Thanks. I am going to have to go and buy some more. I bought a small bottle, but I think I am going to need another application!!!
I used a whole quart bottle of Petastic, formally Natures Miracle and it didn't work. I still have the urine odor. I called the company and they are giving me a refund. Is there anything else that anyone has tried that would work. I am thinking about using baking soda. Sprinkling it over the area and then vaccuming it up. Can anyone help me out????
Ok, when you say you used a whole quart and it didn't work is the area good and dry already? That's a lot to just recently use and have it be dry already. You really can't determine whether or not it worked until it is dry and I think I know it says that one the bottle.
But, if it is then I really don't know what to tell you. A lot of it is going to depend on how long the cat has been peeing there and how saturated the area was with urine. If it went down to or thru the pad to the subfloor(or god forbid the hardwood) it's probably not going to work as well or possibly you think it's dry but it's really not. Have you pulled the carpet back in the area to examine what's going on?
Truthfully, I've never had good luck once it get's that saturated and both times removed the carpet from the area in question not knowing your situation it's hard to know what to advise. In one case I just refinished the hardwood floor and left it like that and that solved the peeing problem(long story but it wasn't really the kitty's fault as I had a crazy dog at the time and she was literally afraid to leave that room so I couldn't really blame her).
I have heard of others who have had good luck with a product called Anti Icky Poo so I'm providing their website here for you.

Good luck. I know how frustrating this can be.

Hmmm, it should work.
Thanks everyone for your advice. Yes, it was able to dry all the way. It is only in one spot and he pee'd there twice. I used a black light to be sure that there wasn't any other spots. I found this stuff at Walmart called OUT! that is working wonders and cost only half the price.
