For those who have cat's who like eating grass as much as mine do I wanted to let you know of a good organic source. Instead of paying the typical $4.99 at Petsmart for the little 2 x 2 pot of grass you can get a much larger flat of Wheatgrass at Wild Oats for $1.99. It's organic as it's what they use to make wheatgrass juice for people.
The boys LOVE it and I buy it and then put plant it into a ceramic flat pot so they can't pull the lightweight container all over the kitchen.
It's really good for them as wheatgrass provides these important benefits to kitties:
• healthy skin and shinier coats
• sheading of hair is reduced
• strengthens feline immune system
• cold nose (this is a good thing)
• improved energy levels
• bad breath is reduce because of chlorophyll
• normal bowel movements
• reduced chewing of house plants
Just thought I would share a less expensive option for those little plant eaters if any of you have one.
Take care, Lynn

Thanks for that information Lynn.
I used to grow the oats too, but they didn't seem to like it as much as the wheatgrass. I'm not sure in their minds what the difference between the two. I still have some of the oats I think I'll start some today and run a side by side comparison.
I stumbled on to some of the smaller flats of the wheatgrass at Wild Oats and brought some home. They absolutely love it, especially Zachary. He munchs on it every morning while I'm fixing their breakfast. I know Wild Oats sells the large flats and people use is for juicing but that's not something I know anything about.
Once I've completed my study, I'll post the results. :)
