Finally brought the other cat home

My daughter brought the cat home from my friend's house (who is moving). Oh my gosh!!!!! This cat must weigh a good 30 pounds!!!! I feel so sorry for him. He wheezes when he breathes and it's a miracle that he can even move. He looks like he swallowed a watermelon.

Anyway, he's been living upstairs with my daughter, and has finally calmed down. He seems very curious about my 2 cats, but I haven't let them come in contact with each other yet. I let them see each other through a crack in the door.

My oldest cat seems very curious about the new arrival. The younger cat (female) hissed and growled. I used to joke that she ran the household...we just paid the mortgage.

I guess I'll go a bit more slowly, especially with the female. This is her house and I guess she doesn't want another male living in it. I'm a bit worried about what she may do when they first meet. When we brought her home as a kitten, she literally beat the snot out of the older cat, and he let her. They still wrestle quite hard and she usually wins. He adores her. I guess it must be love?

I should probably stock up on the Feliway, huh?

Thanks for listening!!

That is so good you took him! Maybe you can get some good food and he can lose a little weight
