Cardiomyopathy/use of defibrillator

My cardiomyopathy has taken a turn for the worst and my cardiologist is recommending I have a defibrillator implanted immediately. Anyone here have cardiomyopathy or a defibrillator that can share their experience. Thanks.

I wish I could be a source of information for you, but I've never had an experience with a defibrillator. However, there are some here on the board who has had defib and I'm sure someone will reply to your post soon. I wish you the best of everything and
