Hi all !! been very busy the last couple days,...need to check in...plus a ? or 2
On Monday we took my 18mo old daughter and 8yr old nephew to Great America for the day. I want to tell you guys, that had to have been the hardest day of this induction. It was the 6th day.. and all those sweets looked soo good. But I did not partake of a one. Even when we had lunch, and everyone had a pizza and an ice cream, or pudding dessert, I was content with my salad w/bacon bits. I even lost 3 lbs walking around that place that day, and drinking all that water. If I had only known years ago that mixing the Atkins diet with rollercoasters would do the trick, I would be on the cover of vogue magazine (I wish).
I do have a question for you though.
I am in my 2nd week, and doing great (lost 15lbs already), and I can't tell. The scale is saying so, but I can't see it. I am getting out the tape measure today.
But the question is: I have very large thighs and calves, we are talking LARGE.. will the weight come off of them too? Or will I have to go to the gym to firm them up? As much as I love the gym, right now the funds don't really allow it. What kind of exercises can I do for these trouble areas?
I am already doing a few crunches to help the tummy area. But my main concern is from the waist down. Actually, if it wasn't for my butt,thighs, and calves, I wouldn't look that overweight.
All your help is much appreciated. You gals are fantastic. Keep up the good work all.
