Yes my tastes have changed too--my kids got these ice cream sandwhiches in a chocolate chip cookie- I had 1 bite and it was so sweet I almost spit it out!

The shoe size was the weirdest for me! I always wore an 8 1/2 Wide and now I'm in an 8 regular width. It used to be VERY hard for me to find a nice selection of shoes and now it isn't.

I'm a little jealous of you ladies though. I never had that full feeling really or ability to only eat a small amount. I had to be very vigilant about how much I ate on a daily basis.

Wendy- you should be able to have a cheeseburger (without the bun) or even a BLT. I know that was ok for me at your stage. I will say that beef has been hard for me to eat though. I've had to cook Turkey Meatloaf or burgers rather than beef.

I have had a cheeseburger since surgery with out the bun that we made at home...but that's not the same as a big juicy restaraunt cheeseburger with all sorts of fat and toppings that probably wouldn't even taste as good now!

Yes, meat definitely seems to be a food that you do need to be vigilant about. Not even just the minutes between bites but definitely chewing it at least 25 times. The first time I made meatloaf I vomited about an hour later. Yuck! For some reason even with turkey being drier I tolerate it fine (ground turkey). I add milk, egg, worcesthire (sp?) sauce, ketchup, onions, garlic, panko bread crumbs, salt/pepper, parsley and basil to my turkey loaf. Then I cook it in a muffin pan so each mini loaf is pre-measured. It is great because I can freeze some and just grab and go for lunch.

I'm sorry that you have issues with most proteins!! Beef is the only one for me that is hard to stomach. I hope that changes for you over time.

I started out with deli meats that were paper thin, and chewed the heck out of them. Now I can eat a steak or lobster tail with no problem.

That's interesting about the ground turkey.
