Wendy, I'm still in the "OMG I'm letting go of my last comfort", but I know I can do this - I HAVE to. I'd love to be healthy and be able to eat what I want, but that isn't gonna happen, so I going to do what is best for me. I know I deserve this, and I need it... so yea, I'm ready. Scared, nervous, excited... all of those emotions and more, bring it on!!

OK, my ekg, chest xray and blood work are next Friday. After that I see the surgeon, so I'm thinking it's going to be July. We'll see... but I'm over the hump now. WHEW - this is exhausting! To all those that are just starting, hang on, it's gonna be a ride!!

Yay! I just got officially approved earlier last week and am doing my surgery June 28th. I choose Sleeve. Which surgery are you having? I have the same emotions you have. I feel like I am going on a roller coaster ride except I am going to be a totally different person, physically, when I get off. Your surgery date might be sooner than you think if you are doing all the pre-op stuff next friday because my nurse told me that all that testing is time sensitive so I had to do it no later than two weeks before my surgery no later. So my pre-op stuff is the 14th. Maybe not though, surgeons are all different. I have to do a pre-op diet and talked to a lady today that ate real food the day before her sleeve, which I am real jealous about. Good luck! Keep me posted about your pre-op testing since yours is before mine.

Victoria - I have to do the 2 week pre-op diet so I know it will be that long from when I see the surgeon. I'm jealous you have a date, can't wait to see how it goes for you. I will still have to have the endoposicy but they said the surgeon does that himself. I'm glad to hear that I'm not abnormal for my feelings... I'm sure everyone went through it - but it's still nice to hear. I'm excited we'll be right together on this!!

Yeah, pre-op diets suck. My surgeon told me mine was liquid for liver size reduction not to lose weight, but I am sure I will during the process. I guess I will pull a Charlotte from Sex and the City and just eat chocolate pudding. Which surgery are you having?
