I know. He was having somewhat of a long-distance relationship with an ex-wife while he was still with me. I'm sure I will never know the extent of their contact but the fact of the matter is, he lied to me about things I asked him point-blank about. Then he figured out that it was me he really wanted to be with. Now he is beating himself up for screwing up. I tried to tell him that we were not meant for each other anyway and the relationship was on it's way out when he started talking to her. I still felt very betrayed but I would like for him to just move on and let me go. The only thing I have to feel guilty about is that I didn't end things when I first realized it wasn't working.
Thing is, problems don't go away on their own.
