So I am still in my first week, breaking up with my 3 yr ex-fiance. I have been thinking so much about the relationship and the cultural differences we had. I guess i need someone else's view on my thought so i can finally put this thought to rest...
here it is: So for 2 yrs my Italian fiance was in my country and he was free from his 'Mother's control' so to speak. when he went back to his country i noticed how he was different in a way, that he seemed to have no choice about even the smallest daily activites including having to work in his dads family business which he didnt enjoy. we had a long distant relationship for 9 months and i remember him telling me how i was an angel sent to him, how i made his life truly happy for the first time. Some people never stand up for their loved ones or even themselves. I don't think it's about whether or not he loved you, but rather what he is/was willing to do to keep that love.
