Backgroud: (ex) BF and I were in a long-distance relationship for 1.5 years. We saw each other every other weekend. Less than three weeks ago, I had a job interview near where he lived...
Three weeks ago this past Friday, I get a call from mom, saying that dad has had a heart attack; I'm told that he might not make it until I get there; BF is visiting for the weekend, he, my 6yo son and I drive 9 hours in the middle of the night to the hospital; I am relieved to see dad's still alive but DRs are scared of potential brain damage; then dad starts to recover, almost miraculously; I stay a few days and reschedule my interview; I then drive back home for a few days before driving up to boyfriend's town for the interview; I have to deal with my ex-H A LOT to handle childcare; have a nerve-wracking 4 hour interview, then fly to Boston for a work conference; (ex) BF goes with me; I get an offer for the job, but (ex) BF OUT OF NOWHERE freaks out over commitment and we break up but we still have to spend the next 40 hours together because we’re on a trip; I return and pick up DS from EXH and drive back home; I deal with rejecting the job offer, getting counters, negotiating with my current place of employment for a counter to the counter...All within less than 21 days. It’s a wonder I’m even sane AT ALL! And, I barely know where I am or what I’m doing. One minute I’m preparing for a funeral, and the next I'm miraculously celebrating my father's recovery. Then, I'm preparing to sell my house, find summer care for DS and change jobs, the next I’m staying where I am.
This past weekend was the first "free" weekend since all of this began, and it was torture. I had been in a whirlwind of emotion, and suddenly everything was very calm and very real. This upcoming weeekend if the first normal "visit" weekend since exBF and I broke up. I think I need to make some plans to distract myself...

Hi luna1940,
Make a list of things you have always wanted to do and start doing them.
