Went to a wedding last night, was afraid that I'd cheat, but didn't! (m)
during the cocktail hour, the h'ors d'oerves (sp?) were soooo tempting (especially those little quiches!!!) but I just had 3 stuffed mushrooms (stuffed with spinach & cheese) and probably 3-4 pieces of asparagus wrapped in a ham slice. To drink, I stayed with iced tea (but secretly lusted for a Manhatten!!) I think maybe 5 carbs for that part... then for dinner, I had the chicken & fillet and the artichoke heart in Bernaise sauce (sooooo good!) while everyone else ate the same and the rest of the things on the plate (goregeous red potatoes with mashed potatoe garnishes, carrots & green beans). Then I had a TINY sip of champagne and nursed what ended up being less than 1 oz of Chardonney. I'm thinking dinner (including the wine) was around 5-6. I did take a very small bite of the mashed potate granishes (potatoes are my downfall), and as soon as I put the fork in my mouth the thought "white potatoes = HUGE insulin rush" ran through my head and I put it down, from what I could tell, they tasted good, though!!!
