I wonder why someone hasn't tried this?

You'd think with all the online dating forums and the ways people try to "trick" the system and be non-paying but still have people contact them -- that someone would have started up a free system with some type of discussion or email forum that people could go to contact dating subscribers outside the Online Dating systems.
How hard would it be to go to a forum and exchange that info? It would be completely anonymous and could perfectly circumvent the online systems.
Just like there is SMS for cell phones - there is no reason that someone couldn't invent a similar service where you could email someone with their online dating name -- and have a system automatically deliver it to the person. Naturally it would require that you be signed up with such a service -- hardly a difficult task since it seems many people are signed up with multiple dating services already....

I've often thought it would be interesting if there were a forum where people could go to discuss profiles they see online.
"That LG1964 guy? He's a super nice guy, but a bit of a pervert! I went out with him, ladies, and he wanted me to lick his toes right there at the dinner table!"
Well, maybe it's not such a good idea after all. :)
Seriously, the only problem with your idea, LG, is a simple one- who's going to pay for that site?
But you're right, it would seem to be very easy to set up a free email service (at a minimum) that would incorporate, say, the name of the OLD service and then the member name.
Like if you were on Match and American Singles, and your user name on both was LG1964, on this free email site you would have two email addresses: "matchlg1964@OLDemail.com" and "asLG1964@OLDemail.com".
Maybe it could pay for itself with advertising... hmmm
