Update on the guy who almost stood me up

Remember the guy from last Friday with the whole phone confusion thing, when I thought I was being stood up? So he really turned out to be a sweetheart! We've seen each other all of last weekend, then on Wednesday and yesterday I had a dinner planned at my place for him. Turned out I woke up sick and had to cancel, since he had mentioned before his friend was having a party, I told him to go to the party instead and have fun and we'll have the dinner next weekend (and I meant it). Well, instead he drove through the snow and brought pizza over, said he couldn't leave me alone if I was sick, and was really sweet. Even kept saying how gorgeous I looked, even though I know I looked like crap. Let's see how long this will last (I'm so pessimistic nowadays) but so far things are really great! I'm glad I've gave him a chance, I've met all his friends by now (they remind me of my friends), and was going to meet his sister today who was in town visiting, but couldn't go out to dinner because I'm still not 100%. Aside from the sick part, things are good!

CCSR:
First Im happy , you are happy. please slow down though. These types of dating senarios usually end just as abruptly. I hate to rain on the parade; but 9 out of 10 ten times these guys are outta there just as fast as they swept you off your feet. I hope Im wrong, but just slow it down.
of course have fun an denjoy him, but maybe take a weekend off or just slow down meeting the fam, etc. It seems a lil too fast for anything real to become of it.
But again , ive seen things go just as fast and turn out well. Just the luck of the draw.

I'm concerned about it too -- the relationships that I had like that before did end abruptly, but then again, my best friend is now married expecting a child from a relationship that started even faster than mine!
I decided to not overanalyze it too much, if it's supposed to work out it will, if not, well, life is full of up and downs isn't it? We probably won't see each other much this week now that there's no more holidays, and the fondue has been rescheduled for Saturday, so I might even not see him before then (specially since I'm still sick today!)
