Hey Linda - I am glad you had fun! You definitely needed it.
No, writing to customer service at eH will not get you anywhere. They will send you the message they send to everyone about how it takes time to get results and that "it only takes one". As someone that has given eH more than enough chances, that may be. But I have received about 300 matches and none have come to anything more than a date or two. Those are pretty lousy odds! I think I'll take my chances elsewhere. At this point, I am considering closing my account with them completely.
Bah to eHarmony!!! The questionnaire results were eerily close to reality, though. A fat lot of good that did me!! Thankfully I did not spend a dime on them (many many dimes on others, though!)
I've met 3 people from eharmony. Two one-and-done dates, and the other lasted 5 dates till she got back with her ex boyfriend, and I think I was just a pawn in a game for her.
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation Linda. I hope you won big!! Your friend was right not to let you dwell on the jerk. I've been going thru the same thing lately...it's easy to dwell if we allow ourselves. Fortunately, I have a good friend, like you, she helps keep me focused on the positive things I need in a relationship and has helped me see what I was not getting... Thanks Jodie!!!
I've received several matches from eHarmony lately, but I'm not paying and won't unless what I read about one of them just knocks my socks off. So far, my feet are still nice and toasty in my warm winter socks. I did notice in the notification from eHarmony stating they had a match for me that they say something to the effect that a match on eHarmony is very rare. No kidding?? I guess they are trying to make you feel like you're one of the chosen few. LOL Out of all the 'so called matches' they've sent me not one has fit into any of the criteria I'm looking for...they either live to far away, are out of the age range I prefer and usually shorter than me.
I'm like you I doubt that writing them would do any good, especially since, I'm no longer paying nor plan to pay. It's frustrating when a service claims to be so good and their membership fees are so much higher than the other's and then the matches are so poor. Besides, I want to see who it is they think I'm a match with before I pony up any money. Just my 2 cents.
I am only returning the friendship and support that you have given me! You truly are sooo appreciated! I am so glad we have had the opportunity to meet. I am proud to call you my close friend.

Linda! Great to *hear* some cheerfulness.

Welcome home.

Eharmony has been a big bust for me as well. I get matches and they all close me out as well.
I don't like the fact that you have no control...
Linda,
Glad you had a great time in Vegas and it's helped you move on and get over this last guy. So what did you do? Did you go to any shows?
