So, I winked at a hottie tonight and hoped he would respond. He did. Here is what he said...

Hello~

Thank you for the wink. I have been raising my kids since I was 17. Since I see that you definately want kids, so I don't think that we are a match. Good luck with your search.

Isn't that wonderful!?!?!? How refreshing to have such a concise, short, honest, polite response. I swear...I would not care if I got turned down every single time if the guy did so in such a gracious and direct manner.

Wait, he has kids, and you want kids, so that doesn't make you a match?

no -- means he's done it and doesn't want to do it again. I have also come up against that since I'm older with a young child.

I also had a nice personal response from a guy I emailed. He had a very funny line in his profile that cracked me up so I contacted him. At first, I got the canned Match no thanks, but then he took the time to send me a note too that basically said, you sound cool, best of luck to you. while I could have dwelt on the fact that he rejected me not once but twice -- I decided to email him back and thank him for his note.

Thanks for reinforcing the fact that there are STILL A FEW OF US (MEN) who respect you enough to write a personal letter...even though we might turn you down for a date.

Yeah however when you do "Graciously" tell them you are not a match, such as Libra, you get....BS such as "Inbred Aura".

>>Don't you find it amazing how some women can take rejection and move forward....while others (quoting Jack Nicholson here): Can't handle the truth...and subsequently, become extremely angry?<<
