Hi Guys,
I know that Countrygirlupnorth she met her b/f on Craigslist. I think im at the point where I think CL is a waste of time. Seems like the same people keep replying to my post, including a guy ive already been on a date with (who thinks hes stringing me along but thanks to HJNTIY, ive already put him out of my mind as a viable option). If you guys think that I should try something else id be more then happy to explore any options you give me. I know a lot of you use match or yahoo, like i mentioned in my previous posts, im 25, and id really like to meet someone around my age or maybe a little bit older, Do you think I could meet someone at match?

Try Salon.com (or any other Spring Street Networks site). There are a lot of younger people on there.
Personally, I find the people I've seen on Match pretty blah and staid~nothing has jumped out at me that makes me even want to contact someone there.
I think it's a matter of preference in what you're looking for (i.e. interests, outlook on life, etc.). You just have to work by trial and error to find the site that best suits you and your personality.

Me finding R on Craig's List was kind of a "freak thing" - I had made no designs on meeting someone to date when I put my ad on CL.
I agree with several other posters- CL is not good for meeting guys, in my experience. I used it a few times until I started seeing my boyfriend. I never actually met any men from CL, but the responses I got were creepy. Also, the couple of men I contacted turned out to be totally different than their posts suggested... so maybe I didn't have the talent to pick out the few promising ones. Salon.com might be a nice place to try.
I did meet a very pleasant group of women through someone else's post on CL. We formed kind of a social/dining club. So CL is good for something.

I think a lot of this is hit or miss--with all the sites. I actually dated someone i met on CL for about 3 months. Have a friend who met her boyfriend on CL and they've been going out a year. She lucked out with this though. she'd never done it before, i told her she had nothing to lose. so, she posted a very simple ad, went on dates with 4 men and is now with one of them. If only we had it so easy!
Speaking of, someone mentioned meeting friends on CL. A few summers ago i was looking to branch out socially and posted an ad suggested a group meet-up of 20 somehting women. i am now great friends with several of them.
So, yeah, I think experimenting around is a good thing.
Craigslist is online classifieds. It was started by a guy named (get this) Craig. :)
Craigslist is incredibly simple- the format and so forth. You can post an ad for free. They're just text- very simple, basic formatting.
The only place they make any money is on their job boards- they charge for those listings. Everything else is free.
Craigslist is cheap for them to host/run, though, because they don't have fancy graphics. If you want to put up a picture, you have to host it yourself- they don't want to have it on their servers.
The best way to see Craigslist is... to go to Craigslist! :)
www.craigslist.org is where you'll find it.
You can also try your city- so if you live in, say, Dallas, it'd be dallas.craigslist.org.
And there's a "best of" listing that's almost ALWAYS great for some funny, funny stuff at:

Craigslist is known, in OLD terms, for having mostly urban, kind of with-it, hip people on it.
It'd been a while since I looked at the "best of" on Craigslist, but for all you OLD fans, here's a very funny rundown of the basics of a man's personal ad and a woman's personal ad on Craigslist.
Warning: It's quite graphic and brutal. If you're easily offended, or even not-so-easily-offended, you shouldn't blame me for clicking on the link. :)
