Update on the third date guy

Hi all,

Just wanted to give you all an update on the guy that I got to the third date with. Well, I told him it was best if we just remain friends. I realized with the conversations that we had that he is just not ready for a relationship and I do not want to deal with the baggage that he has even though he is a nice guy.

He has been divorced for a little more than a year and has a 3 year old son. Well, things are not good between him and his ex wife. She has attempted to keep him from seeing his son even though he takes care of him. Also, he told me that while they were married she tried to run him over with a car. Bottom line....that is someone that I do not want in my life. If she really did try to run him over with a car it is no telling what she is capable of if she found out he was dating someone.

Well, this week I am going to concentrate on updating my profile. Hopefully you all will critique it for me.

Pat...

Pianoguy thinks you're a very smart lady....who will (no doubt) find Mr. Right one of these days.

The biggest problem with a couple who've only been divorced for a year...and have a 3-year old child...is that there are issues that still need to be resolved!

I wish people would understand what a complete turn-off it is to hear them slag their exes!

Good for you for walking away from this.

Okay, I'm saying that the second statement makes the first one pretty much the "Understatement of the Year". Sure, 2005 is still young, but I'm thinking this statement has some real staying power. LOL

As a general rule, no, if someone tries to run your a** over with a car, things are NOT GOOD between you and that person.

Good move avoiding this guy.

I agree, I don't like hearing it either... but when the ex tries to RUN YOU OVER WITH A CAR, I think you're entitled to slag on them at least a little. :)
