After much thought and contemplation, I've decided to de-activate my account with Ivillage....for multiple reasons, one being that I'm spending too much of my work time, actually not that much-but any time while I'm at work is too much, posting because I don't have internet access at home. But, to be honest, the bigger reason is that I just don't feel that these boards provide a positive outlet in my life any longer. I find that as I grow and progress into what I want to be, I'm becoming far, far more different than a majority of the people who post here, thus my advice doesn't fit them and their feedback doesn't fit me~it's basically people from different worlds trying to tell the other how to function.
I will still be VERY HAPPY to continue plan the OLDFEST in Chicago and still want to meet up with all the people who will be coming to the Windy City! If that doesn't work for you, just let me know via e-mail at mystreamofunconsciousness@yahoo.com
I wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
Michelle

I’m bummed; I really liked your no nonsense approach.
With that said, I understand completely. I’ve tried to ween myself off but keep coming back. I don’t get advice so much on my relationship (only because it’s a good one thus far) but if I have a situation like with the ex from a year ago or someone needs advice on something I went through – it’s good to have. Sometimes I just lurk; find it entertaining.
Good luck to you!

Michelle...
I know you have to make the choices that you feel are best for you.....but I WILL MISS YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS to this...and many of the other ivillage boards.
YOU'RE A WONDERFUL LADY and I know that I'm not the only ivillage male who feels this way?

If you're still reading this board....
I understand why you've decided to leave this community - feeling that it's taking up too much of your time, feeling that the feedback you receive doesn't fit you.
