Guy lost my number or....

I was talking to this guy on the phone for a while and then all of the sudden he stopped calling. I assumed he found something or someone else so I deleted his number from my cell phone.

After about 1.5 weeks, he sends me a note that he went home to bury his brother. So I sent him a note and said sorry and told him to give me a call when he gets a chance. So he sends me a note back telling me that he lost my number and gives me his...

My cynical self thinks that he found someone else, it did not pan out and now he's coming back to me...

What do you guys think???

If he was talking to you for a while - do you really think he'd lose your number? I've still got numbers punched into my cell from a year ago. His dead brother never popped up in conversation?

I dunno LG, the death could've been sudden and as far as the number...well, I never bothered to key in someone's number on my cell if I hadn't actually met them AND thought I would see them again. It didn't matter how many times we spoke prior to meeting.

My current BF emailed me and said he couldn't find my number after our first meeting and I almost blew him off. He ended up finding it and calling me. Now that I've known him for a while, I find it quite possible that he did. He can be a little scatter brained at times.

Sorry LG, didn't mean to shoot your post full of holes!

i dont thikn he'd make up such a lie about his brother. I'd believe it.

also, i just lost a guy's # this past weekend and I really did wnat to talk to him again. It wasn't till now that I pieced together his email address he had left too. Real life guy too, refreshing. But back to the number being lost, dont take that one for granted. Ive done it and have done it before....

Good luck with him :)

I'd say it could've happened how he said. Give him a shot but keep a wary eye out, and if he ghosts again then just bail.

Look at it this way- you have not too much to lose. If he really did just lose his brother and you start seeing him, you'll be able to confirm it relatively quickly; if it's garbage, he'll ghost again and you'll know. Either way, you'll know soon.
