Email without a profile

What would you do if someone sent you an email but it said that their profile is hidden? I did respond and asked him for a picture. He sent one (it was him sitting next to a deer he had killed!). Anyway...I would like to read a profile. Can I ask him to "unhide" his profile so I can read about him?? The picture actually didn't do much for me!!

Donna,

No need to reply. It looks like he's already found his date.

Think about the reasons a guy (or anyone) would hide their profile....

I have hidden my profile. When I do a search, I un-hide (if that's a word) my profile so that my winkees can take a look.

I don't like that he has hidden his profile from you. Smells like attached to me, and I aint talking about a dead deer.

PS--I saw a hunter for a year. A super guy, but with dead animals all over the house. Yuck! Just one of those things I had to either get used to (which I did, due to my weakness for cowboys) or get out.

Sure, you can ask him. He might not go for it.

Personally, I'd have to wonder why someone would be sending email out without their profile being visible. I could understand hiding it once they've agreed to meet, or have met someone, but if they're "free" to be dating, why hide it?

IMO, you should be very, very, very leery about someone who's hiding their profile from the get-go.

The best looking woman who ever emailed me had a hidden profile. It creeped me out so much that I dropped the whole idea of corresponding. I'm a firm believer that people hide their profile for a couple reasons:

  • They're dating someone else from online
  • They're wanted by the law
  • They're professional daters

I've heard the "but I get too many winks and emails from guys that I don't like" excuse and I ain't buyin' it.

The whole concept creeps me out and I won't interact with hidden or photoless profiles. Some will though. More power to them.

He's sick!! Even if his profile is hidden I would report him and send a copy of the email with it on the chance that they'll cancel his membership. You know he's going to contact other women who may not give a second thought to him having his profile hidden.
