Okay, this is WAY COOL. I just noticed that on YP, there is a link to the RHS, that says "view similar profiles". Anyway, if that link ain't there, the person ain't that popular! AAANNNDDD if there are only 3 or 4 there, the person is only okay popular, and also that they are MY OWN LINKS!!! BUT then there are those that have like 195 similar profiles.... they are the hot ones, I think. Anyone else notice this!?

SO, now I feel so much better because the guy that ghosted on me this week had less than a handful, and 3 of them were due to ME!!!

That doesn't even make sense... Similar profiles are just that: profiles that match one or more categories of the profile you're looking at. Yahoo has it, Match has it, if someone has 195 similar profiles, it's probably because they left a lot of blanks in their information (such as putting "any" or "I'll tell you later") instead of putting specifics for all. Sorry...

I agree with ccsr - huh? The "view similar profiles" doesn't have anything to do with popularity level but rather to do with the answers they chose and (I have noticed) looks. All guys under the age of 35 with dark brown hair and brown eyes have a link to other guys that are around age 35 with dark brown hair and brown eyes. Sorry Jayme, you are putting too much into the similar profile thing than is there. It is literally, similar profiles not how much other people have viewed them or contacted them.

Don't take his ghosting so personally! He ghosted - so what? You don't know why he ghosted and there is a good chance it wasn't anything you did.

My faux pax. It's not called "similar profiles". You're correct, that's something different.

It is called "People who liked this profile also liked...", and I did find out from YP that it is created by people who liked that profile and then the other profiles that the same people liked are added under that section. it may not be the same for the other dating services, i have no idea about them.

Sort of like when ya buy a book off amazon or half.com, it pops up saying, people who bought this book also purchased such-and-such book.
