IT issues on Match site

Extremely furious with Match site right now! I recently created a profile and submitted photos of myself to the Match site yesterday. I just got an email back stating that my photos were approved and would be posted etc. So I go to doublecheck my complete profile only to be absolutely horrified ! When you click on my photo to enlarge it, a picture of somebody else popped up, who I might add looks nothing like me and is rather pathetic looking !!!! I sent Match's customer care team 3 consecutive emails letting them know about the matter and how it has really upset me, and demanded that they fix the issue ASAP! What a great way to get newbies to trust their site hey !?! Because of this photo glitch, I now had to make my profile invisible. I realize that I am venting at the moment, but if you would see the photo that pops up when you enlarge my correct photo, you would absolutely be reeling & fuming with anger as well. Either some IT person is playing a really nasty joke (thats not the slightest bit funny) or they have someone working for them that has a very questionable character & no IT background.
QUESTION to you long time Match users, is there somebody that I can call or write to (that is higher up if you know what I mean)at Match other than through customer service email ? Also, has this situation ever happened to anybody else, that Match's IT people messed up with your photos ?

I've seen this on a couple profiles as well. It is not at all unusual for Match to have these types of glitches. My experience is that questions and concerns get addressed by either an auto-responder or someone out of a 3rd world country who cuts and pastes some random answer which generally doesn't address your question.
As long as your main shot is correct I wouldn't be overly concerned. Most people will probably figure out Match is hosed (again).
As a web site manager, I can tell you that it's just that you got hit by the odds. I have hundreds of links to manage, and the occasional error pops up. If you think about the MILLIONS of links they are managing, they have a pretty low error rate.
The real problem is their poor customer help to resolve these issues.
I can see why you're mad. What Match (and other dating services) ought to tell people is to submit their photos and so forth, but keep their profile hidden until those photos officially appear on the site.
Or even better- just make the default to be "off" once someone changes their profile. Then, for the profile to be turned back on, make it so that the user HAS to look at the profile and double-check to be sure that everything is correct.
THAT would make entirely too much sense, though, wouldn't it? :)
I've heard of profile photos being of someone else, and it sucks. Personally, when I submit a new photo now, I hide my profile until the photo is approved, then go double-check it, then make the profile visible again.
In Match's defense, there ARE millions of possible links in their web site and database. It's not unusual at all for there to be some errors. What DOES suck is their customer service, and it's only going to stay like it is now or get worse for a while, because they're in big-time cost-cutting mode thanks to the competition.
In an ideal world, the bigger OLD sites would buy out the smaller ones, consolidating the industry a bit so there wouldn't be a dozen or more national, big sites.
Thanks to the giant tech stock crash, though, these companies now have an extremely hard time raising any money to buy anyone else out, so we're probably stuck with the situation for a while longer.
I never had that problem, but to this day still don't receive the match emails (the ones that give you a list of matches) or wink emails . Their customer service was clueless of course.
Luckily I get the correspondance emails, and am lucky enough to get the "thanks but no thanks" wink emails.
