I Need That Vibe.......

Well I'm just getting in from a free jazz concert in the park where I met a guy I had been chatting with for a few days. His pic was blurry and I should have known better. (smile) Anyway, he was awright (I could hang in public with him) -- but just plain -- I mean no fireworks. Anyway he asked me if we could be friends and I said yes! It's funny I was looking at him thinking, well maybe if he got a better haircut and some better clothes.....well maybe!! LOL

I have another "meet and greet" on Friday -- wish me luck!! (smile) No his pic is NOT blurry, he looks good.

Guys, I NEED THAT VIBE -- CHEMISTRY!!! Anyone ever continue seeing someone and the vibe/chemistry eventually grows??

Oh yeah, last weekend I did meet a truck driver in RL. Good profession -- not around too much! (smile) Kind of short (5'8) and I'm 5'4 but he was stocky built but he had a sex appeal about him. He's been calling so we'll see.......

It's either feast or famine -- and these past 2 weeks, I've been getting some attention. Oh well, keep doing what I'm doing but I need that VIBE/CHEMISTRY!!!

Hi tstephnic,

It sounds like you have the guys all over the place!

Yes I did date a guy who I didn't have the "vibe" with right away as you called it. I mean there was some attraction there, but he was totally dufferent than the type of guy I am usually attracted to and at that time I was trying to go out of my box and be more open minded.

Well, my attraction for him grew over the months we dated and he was a super nice, thoughtful, caring, kind, funny guy. We had many great times together. But after the 4th month he totally changed and I didn't know who I was dating! Could he have been replaced by an alien?! Just kidding!

But evidentally he had changed himself to try to please me and to be the person he thought I wanted him to be and I guess he finally got tired of the act and the committment phobic guy came to the surface, the real guy! But if that was his true self, I didn't want to be with a guy like that anyway!

So now I think I'll look for a little more spark with a guy, I mean it doesn't have to ignite me completely at first, but it should warm me a little bit anyway! I think there has to be some attraction there for it to work. I am not as picky about the looks now, I mean I know what I am attracted to, but I am also going for the personality traits that are important to me, which the ex bf *did* have in the beginning.

I wish you much luck in your meets!

I know what you mean. I've gotten alot of attention the past couple of weeks. Had 4 meets for this past week but only 2 actually happened. But received alot of winks/views/emails. And I agree with the "vibe" thing. Motorcycle guy from Saturday had MAJOR vibes!! but guy #2 from Monday was a big NO vibe!! Good luck with your new meet Friday...have fun!!

I think everyone is that way...the vibes/chemistry have to be there. In recent months I've opened myself up to meeting men younger than my set age range, 45-57, and even shorter than what I would normally be attracted to, 5'10" and up. I reached the decision to open myself up more because, I met and dated a man briefly who was only 5'7". When I first saw him I immediately thought he was too short. But I liked his personality and agreed to a second date. That's when I began to notice that the vibes were definitely there, so much so that I didn't even notice his height. I didn't feel the 'vibe' at first, but it sure didn't take long for it to develop. But alas, his 14 year old daughter evidently sets the rules in their house and she's not open to sharing her father's time. :-(

After that I decided I was being too close minded and started looking at men who were shorter and even younger. It was not long after that that I winked at Tattoo man. He is 11 years younger, and actually may be just a wee bit shorter than me, 5'5", but I don't even notice it and I don't think he does either. If the vibe is going to be there it won't matter what they look like, how tall they are or how old they are. It will just be there.

Good luck on your "meet & greet" Friday!! Let us know how it goes.
