20-something guy's and driving......
| Fri, 07-01-2005 - 7:02pm |
i"m 24 and just out of a 5 year relationship where my ex would NOT drive. I have been out on a few dates and have found that there are a lot of 20-something guy's that dont drive and never want to. Why is this? I mean I dont mind driving sometimes, and meeting a guy at a restrant for dinner is fine, but when your in a relationship to these guy's acctiouly expect the woman that they are dating to pick them up for everyting and dirve everywhere? this just confuses me to no end. I guess I"m old fassioned and expect that a MAN should drive and would want to drive when in a relationship. I'm I odd or is there a reason behind this???

Hmmm...I've never experienced this one personally. But I've seen others complain about it in their posts. Question: Have you ever asked these guys if they want to drive??
Perhaps it's just how people grew up. I grew up with my dad driving if both my parents were in the car. However, my best friend and her husband have been together 10 years now and they each drive their own cars regardless if the other person is with them. I've actually seen her husband ask her if she wants him to drive her car and 99% of the time she says no.
Curious what guys might have to say about this one...
Hi Jen,
It is rather strange, but I don't know any young guys (in their 20's) who don't drive, so I can be of no help here, sorry.
If they do have their driver's license, but always want the girl to drive, then I'd say that they are being cheap and not wanting to spend their money for gas. Just a guess...
