I may have hit the jackpot!!

I've recently met a wonderful guy (phone man), and I think I can honestly say a week and half later things are going really well. He first emailed me thru match on June 19. We exchanged 2 emails and moved to the phone for a couple of days before agreeing to meet. I was a little apprehensive because he wasn't very talkative on the phone. But I figured why not, you never know. First date was for dinner on the 23rd. When I walked in the restaurant and laid eyes on him for the first time I said to myself "JACKPOT", his pictures didn't do him justice at all. Second date on the 26th we spent the day together, first to brunch then to Churchill Downs for the horse races, followed by a trip to his farm and then out to dinner with some friends of his. Third date on the 1st we had dinner at a local seafood place and then walked along the Ohio River. Fourth date on the 3rd I invited him over to dinner since he'd already taken me out 3 times, but he insisted on providing the steaks and cooking them, I provided the sides and dessert. :-)

The time we've spent together has been really great. We've discussed what we are both looking for and we are definitely on the same page there...LTR that could lead to marriage eventually. He's tall (6')and thick just like I like 'em. He's a very successful businessman, handsome, a perfect gentleman, romantic, very sexy, and he makes me laugh until I cry.

For some reason on our first date I felt compelled to ask him how he would describe himeslf. What he told me left me sitting there dumbfounded for a minute. He said he is the type person that could hang with bikers and drink beer all day and be totally comfortable and the next day sit down to lunch with the president and fit right in. When I told some friends and my daughter what he said they said that his description of himself was exactly like me. They are so right..I am totally like that.

Since our second date every morning I've received a text message saying "Good Morning Angel" and if he doesn't call in the evening, I receive a "Good Night Angel" text. He usually will call once during the day while I'm at work if his schedule permits and if not then he will call in the evening.

I've cut Tattoo man loose as far as dating goes. He and I launched a website for bikers so we will remain friends and business partners. I was never sure there was LTR potential there so I kept looking.

I'm not putting all of my eggs in one basket, but for right now, I'm just going to sit back and see what happens. At least until after the weekend of the 16th, he's invited me to spend it with him on his houseboat. hehe...

I'm trying very hard to remain grounded about things as I know tomorrow he could be a ghost, but for today it feels really good and like it has potential. And so far there are no red flags.

Wish me luck!

Thanks Donna. He is very sweet and nice and does seem very interested. He asks me a lot of questions about myself, which is one of the first things I look for as a sign of true interest. Currently he doesn't have a bike, he sold it two years ago and has been looking for another one, but he wasn't sure what he wanted. Then last friday he looked at me and told me he's thinking of selling a couple of the classic cars he's restored (he has 3 studebaker's) and buying a new Harley. That statement was followed by a big wink, because he introduced me to his friends as a 'real Harley girl'. LOL Even if it's not a Harley it'll be ok...so long as I'm riding on the back with the wind blowing thru my hair.

Lynne,

Congratulations on the new guy and I wish you luck. It's about time a great guy appeared and I'm hoping you get three 7's lined up on this one. That sure beats three "blanks." :-)
