??Post an email in code??

This is turning out to be the summer from Hell (sometimes I think all community work involving children is resting on the shoulders of grandmothers and middle-school-age girls because all the other women are working), and my schedule has been a mess for awhile! Thus, I am looking at Online Dating for the first time in weeks. Anyway, I noticed a post from Jodie (truewild) saying that because of restrictions in online dating providers (match.com, etc.), you need to send your email address to a new man in code. How on earth do you send your email address in code? Thanks. Tea

Funny thing about that is I bet if I read a "coded" e-mail address, I most likely wouldn't pick up on it.

Hi tea,

This is how I emailed it for the boys:

"Please feel free to write me at persida underscore p at yahoo if you wish to get to know each other better."

Most of them figured it out.

Or, here is another example, from an yahoo add:

"contact me at chlef1athot..mai..you now how to complete the add"

Hope this helps and have a fun search!!

Tea,

I have a method that's worked without failure despite the fact I'm a paying member of match. Since I don't know if someone who has contacted me is a member or not. I simply say:

"Since I don't know if you are a member or not, I may be reached at an alternate e-mail address. The prefix is *%$&#883 and the suffice is sbcglobal.net. If you put the @ symbol anywhere in your letter they will catch it.

I wanna play, too.

I have in the interests section: I can always be found at emessen, ann underscore marie plus 40.

Another one I saw: "I'm at that hot place, xxxx"

It's fun trying to figure these out!

Another one I saw a lot on American Singles was write to username at the yellow smiley face (Yahoo) or message username on the running guy (AIM) ... when I sent an email to my current SO and wasn't sure if she was a paying member, I put "write to username at comcast dot net."

Thanks, everybody, for the ideas. Apparently the main thing is to leave out the @ sign. Tea
