Hi, I could sure use some advice. I would like to start dating again. I am thinking about using an online dating service. I tried this a few years ago but nothing came of it. I did have a few dates however I guess I am just too picky now. I have been divorced for almost 7 years now and my children are older now. I really really cringe at the idea of wasting my time to meet with some stranger. My past experiences haven't been too great. It seems as if most men my age are only looking for sex or a perfect wife younger than me.

One man I dated was talking about me moving in with him after our third date. That kind of scared me but I think he must have sensed my fear and never called again. I guess I need boundries and space. I am not interested in marrying or moving in with anyone. I have my own place and until my kids are grown I won't. Is there some kind of dating service that you can just meet as friends first? I mean is there something I am not thinking about? I would love to have someone to share and go places with.

Does anyone have any advice?

No, I haven't. Is this a good site? I was reading some other posts about friendships sites being used by cheating married men.

I can't really give you any feedback, because I'm really looking for someone to date seriously, not activity partners/friends. So while I have a profile on there, I haven't really used the site, but my impression is that it's more for meeting friends than for dating.

I don't think there's any site that DOESN'T have married men looking to cheat on it...but hopefully by asking the right questions and paying attention you can weed those people out before you meet them or at least early on after meeting.
