Hi Rebecca,
I haven't decided whether I actually want to step into the OLD pool yet, mainly because I've always felt that is the last desperate move. Not that I think any of YOU are desperate, just that it has always been the last dating option for me. Hopefully you understand what I mean. But I've started to consider it. Anyway, I have been reading through the posts and yours just crack me up! We seem to have similar views on men, dating, and just how god awful it can be sometimes.
I have always been weirded out about meeting possible boyfriends online, but haven't had the same reactions about female friends. I met one girl in a yahoo chat room a long time ago and we were friends for years, until normal life circumstances took their toll and we eventually lost touch. Then I signed up with ivillage about four years ago and met a girl on the 20-something board that I instantly clicked with. We are both 30 now and no longer post there, but we have met several times in person, and talk/e-mail daily. We have become the BEST of friends, and I am going to be a bridesmaid in her wedding next year. So I just wanted to put my two cents in. :)

Have a great day,
Kris
