First Meet w/Online

Hi, group of us were talking about our most memorable online meets.

We came up with some doozies, and I was wondering if any of you have any first "horror" stories you care to share.

Heard the story of the woman that went to meet a man, only to find out the man was another woman, with a deep voice.
Heard a story of a man that went to meet the love of his life, only to find out she wasn't the woman in the photo's.

Things like that.
I'm dying to hear more stories, and I'm thinking, there must be a ton of them out there.. One funnier than the next.

Anyone care to share?

Here's a horror story for you... copied from my other post, "3 weeks on CL, only 1 bad meet out of 11".

CL Guy 6 -- I had posted about wanting to do something and got so many responses I was overwhelmed. I responded to some with pics but the coordination was taking too long and it was already Friday mid-day, so I responded to this guy with no pic who seemed to show initiative and just said you plan the evening. Long story short, he turned out to be car-less, pretty much homeless, had 8 kids in another state, staying with a woman who has 4 kids. He showed up late and was unwashed (I think he smelled, ugh!) and unkempt (not exactly like a street bum but definitely not properly attired even for a casual restaurant). I am polite and overly conscious about moral obligations by nature, so I didn't bail right away. We ordered drinks and appetizers, I had a few bites, wanted to stick it out but couldn't, went to the restroom, said I had to leave, left a $20 on the table and ran out of there! Even now, I wonder if he paid the bill or just pocketed the cash! To make matters worse, the woman he was living with found out about what he was doing and wrote me an email warning me about him and left a message on my cell. I did call her back briefly and said I got out of there fast and wanted no part of him. She was obviously being lied to and kicked him out. She also said what I had already suspected, that he's homeless etc and that he had a drug problem with Robitussin. There were some red flags I ignored. I did ask him for credentials and googled him. He turned up some good websites showing his marketing portfolios so I thought he'd be okay even if he was down on his luck. Now I know better, but my previous and post experiences to this man were all very good.
