Well I had some guy write me asking me to be his love slave for pay basically a male prostitute. I did report him and talked to the customer service rep - they can go in and see who else he sent the same letter to and either cancel his membership or give a warning. I'm surprised they didn't give him a warning first. What he's done is not grounds for cancelling a membership he can simply say he hasn't met the right person.
EVERYTHING you do on the computer can be monitored simply by knowing your IP address. But sites such as Match can trace all messages because I'm sure the server saves all the info. I'm not a computer whiz but I just know that my whereabouts online are known by anyone who really wants to know where I go and who I'm talking to. I think there's more to the story that your friend isn't telling you.
Now, was that 200 or 2,000 dates? If it was the latter, then he may very well be guilty of something called "I can and will date the state" syndrome...of which there are many offenders.
Just kidding. Just trying to interject a little humor into a puzzler.
On the flipside, can you imagine how bizarre it would feel to receive a "rejection" notice from Match (or any online dating site)? Of course, it's one thing to harass people or do something clealy criminal.... but the idea of possibly being pegged as a serial dater is really interesting. Perhaps it's just a case of mistaken identity?
He didn't try hard enough to find a phone number for Match. If you check under Help there's a "contact us" area. The cutomer service # is 1(800) 92 MATCH. M-F 8:00 am-8:00 pm Sat. & Sun. closed. Pass the number onto him. You have my curiosity piqued as to why he got kicked off! If you find out~update. I can't imagine getting kicked off just for dating a lot of people.
That's odd, has to be more to the story. If that's the case, him being a "serial dater" seemingly they should probably knock off about 99.99% of the men on there! LOL
Sorry couldn't resist but I also find it odd that out of 200 women (and I know you are probably exaggerating) that he couldn't find ONE!! I would also say he has the "holding out for the better deal" syndrome and/or a serious addiction. I've been on for several years (with few dating hiatus) and I don't think I've come close to 20 dates.
I've never heard of match doing this, but just yesterday a friend told me that eharmony gave one of her "matches" the boot. They sent her an email saying they cancelled his account. I forget the exact wording, but it sounded as if he did something really nasty, so of course now my friend is dying to know what he did. She wasn't interested in him before, but now he's intriguing (bad boy syndrome?). LOL.
