Is OLD Seasonal?

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this OLD thing and decided to give it another shot after a rough attempt a few years ago (I was not mentally prepared, so after a few disappointing dates, so I quit).
This time around, I really took the time to put together a good profile (and even had a male friend with plenty of OLD experience check my profile), but I have not had ANYONE contact me at all - it has been nearly 3 weeks! I know I'm OK looks-wise, and my friend thought my profile was interesting - but nothings happened. Last time I had a ton of people contacting me, but this time it has been non-existent.
Is it because there are certain times of year people are active with OLD? Have you seasoned folks noticed times of year when it gets busy?
Thanks!

Hi! Hmm ... your question is kind of hard to answer without me knowing what's on your profile and which OLD site you're on. But I can tell you I know that on a site I was on it was very easy to make my profile not visible to the public. So, I would make sure for starters your profile is visible.
Also, I have found with OLD that you just never know what you're going to get. Even if you're profile is visible and you haven't gotten any reponses, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I can't say I've noticed there's a certian time of year when things get busier or slower. I think it all just depends on your profile and which OLD site you choose.
I hope my little bit of input helps! Good luck! :)
I started out on Match.com a few years ago, but I found it to be "crowded". Now I'm on eHarmony and FastCupid. I also moved from a major city to a suburb - which leads me to believe that's part of the dry spell.
Thanks for the words of encouragement!
Totally agree with Vexer. And one thing I found surprising is how active OLD is the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I assumed people would be busy with festivities and family stuff but last year I got a lot of responses during those weeks.
I started doing OLD two summers ago, and I can vouch for summer being a slow time.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
