I'm just wondering...how do you interpret "Boldness/Assertiveness" in the turn-ons part of what the guy wants?? What do you think it means?

Yes, but is that what he likes in a woman when he says it's a turn on for him?

You know what upsets me? That men put in their profiles how they want a strong woman or an independent woman, then you meet them and they really don't! It sounds good on paper but actually be strong or be independent and I find that many men are threatened by that.

I think a lot of time people really don't know what they want. Or what degree of it they really want. Independant can mean a lot of things, they may want someone who is not co-dependent, but not want a woman who is completely finanically independant. They may want a woman who can stand on her own financially but not one that makes 3 times what he does.

There's a fine line between being independent though and not needing someone in your life. I personally find that a lot of my independent girlfriends are so much so that a man doesn't see where he fits at all... Stepping outside of the relationship parameter, as a friend, if you had a friend who wouldn't allow you in at all, would you want to remain friends with them? Same type of idea I think...
