Opposite sides of the nation...

Hi all!
So here's something a little new for me. One of my good friends has been telling me of a friend of hers from back home. (She is from New York, and we now live in Nevada.) He is single, stable, and kind, and I consider myself to be the same. She has mentioned me to him, and him to me; however, she hasn't mentioned him to me since October.
Suddenly today, he emailed me on myspace saying that our mutual friend told him that I'm "kind and fun, which is a winning combo." He asked if I'd add him to myspace. I responded to his email and added him, and he soon after replied telling me a little about himself and asking about me.
What should I do with this... I mean, he's on the other side of the nation. Do I email him regularly? Eventually get his number? Rule it off as another online friend? He plans to come out and visit our mutual friend eventually. It's rare that I find a guy super attractive (as I focus so much on personality,) but this guy is absolutely handsome!
Anyways, just wondering about the whole situation. :P
Thank you!
Pink

Interesting! He sounds like a great guy to get to know!!
Thanks for your reply!
My friend told me that he has been chosing "the wrong type of gals" lately. He told her not to tell me that, and she did anyways. He then asked if her if he could email me because I seem "normal." I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or not.
It always seems guys go for dumb gals, then date me for something different, and get bored because I don't do the whole drama/game thing. Anyways, I'm jumping my guns. I don't think I'd do a LDR. Actually I know I wouldn't.
Thanks again!

Yes, take it as a compliment! He can admit he had been going for the wrong kind of gals... Afterall, "denial is the first stage"
