Bypass phone & email

Is it a bad sign if a guy asks to meet for a drink before any email or phone conversations? From his profile, he seems pretty normal and doesn't look creepy or anything. And the longer I do OLD, the less tolerance I have for the email small talk. I'd rather not waste time - I'd rather meet asap and find out if we're compatible or not. Anyone have any bad experiences with situations like this?

I don't think it's a danger sign. It might be that he's done OLD for a while and just doesn't like the whole email-back-and-forth thing, and would rather meet up very soon.
Let's face it, meeting in person is where you're going to see your true chemistry with someone. If you love 'em in email but when you meet, not so much, what are you going to do? Stick to having only an email relationship with them? Of course not!
So we might as well meet up, and early. That's my thinking.
