Hi and welcome.

I think that if I were in your shoes I would just try to relax and go with the flow. Give yourself some time to just enjoy what you're feeling now......the excitement of having someone new in your life, that giddy feeling and all that. After all, there is nothing wrong with what your feeling.....you should enjoy it, not try to reason it away.

When January rolls around then you can worry about where this might be going. Until then, enjoy yourself and enjoy him.

As far as being worried about being hurt......I have learned in my 46 years on earth that being hurt is part of life. It's gonna happen no matter what, so try and enjoy the good times while you got them and worry about the hurt when it comes, not before.

I hope this helps.

The best piece of advice I can give you is to remind yourself, 1000 times a day if necessary, that yes, he SEEMS great, but time will tell!

I've found that it takes a good 4-6 months of dating for the real person to emerge and to even begin to have an idea if the two of you are compatible.

Slow down. You do not want to scare him off do you?? Let it unfold naturally. He must be a great guy to make you feel like you do but go slow. Let him come to you. You appear to really want a long term relationship and yet not much time has elapsed. Play a touch hard to get and watch him come running. Good luck but go slower. You will run him off if you are too aggressive.
