I recieved a hug from a very good male friend of mine last night. (Who, admittedly I have a crush on, and several mutual friends have commented to each of us independantly that we should date)

I'm not real good at body language unless I can actually see it myself. I was wondering though, did he play with your hair or anything?

In the meantime, I'll see if I can find an references that

that is the funny thing... he didn't play with my hair at all, or even stroke it. He just placed his hand on the back of my head. It was firm, but still gentle. It is so hard to decipher! I just don't know. I have tried looking up body language signals but have not found anything yet. On a side note, he is very intuitive to body language. That being said, he does use body language to convey much of what he is saying/feeling/doing. So you can see why this is so puzzling to me.

what is this persons marital/dating status?

was there alcohol involved?

although it wasn't in public where did this hug take place?

~before you insult a man you should walk a mile in his shoes. That way when you do insult him, you'll be a mile away and you'll have his shoes.
~ Last year I received a kidney transplant from my older brother from another state. I'm glad and thankful the operation as a success. Just don't tell him that now i have 3!!!

I guess I hide my feelings for him because, like alot of us, I am scared of rejection. Another thing that makes me hesitant to say anything is the fact that a few months ago he mentioned that he has "retired from dating." So in the meantime I am hoping that he will decide to come out of retirement on his own free will and make the first move. I know, it's a cop out, but what can I say? I have never been the initiator.

His past with girls... well I have known him for about
