This is really early in the game, but it's better that I discussed this now.

There's a man who works on the same floor as I do.

I personally don't think it's so terrible to have an office romance if one person isn't the other person's boss or you don't have to work directly together every day, so that if it doesn't work out, you won't be embarrassed. Before you go wild & ask the guy on a date, could you do something more subtle and see if the 2 of you can get lunch together (is there a company cafeteria or a place close by where everybody goes ) or get a coffee? This way it won't be so much of a date, but more of trying to be friends first, since it doesn't seem that you really know him that well.

DON’T DO IT GIRL!!! Don’t live the nightmare after the breakup. It’s a terrible nightmare. I know that’s not what you want to hear, but when things turn bad there is no place to turn. After the breakup you may have to witness him flirting with other co-workers and all you’ll be able to do is “act professional”. He may enjoy this. He may seem nice, but that can change quickly.
