An actual positive dating experience...

Just had date 3 with a guy I met on OLD and we had our first kiss and I'm kind of smitten ;-). Definitely came home smiling. We'll see--he's lots of fun, cute, an entrepreneur like me...definitely promising so far. He is a bit of a blow torcher though...or rather, he'll do blowtorchy things one day (like call more than once, send a bunch of texts), then nothing for a couple days. So I'm definitely keeping an eye on that...I prefer consistency so we'll have to see how that plays out. But I'm just glad to have something positive going on for a change after all the flakes and 1 or 2 date wonders.

Oh, yeahhhhhhhhhhhh, baby, watch that blowtorchy tendency. You know MY history.
I think getting busy with a few other dates is your ticket to not dwelling on this guy.
Go on, FORCE yourself, you gotta!
Thanks all...have had a busy couple of work days so haven't focused too much on the dating stuff.
I hope my message the other day didn't come off as negative 'cause I didn't mean it that way...pretty sure you understood, but just mentioning it here.
Your new post tells me you're keeping level-headed. What you're describing here happens so often that it really helps to read about it, for me anyway.
And being busy with good stuff and a few things to be passionate about is maybe the key, huh?
Oh, no, not at all.
So 3 date guy called Tuesday night and again last night and we'll be having date 4 on Saturday night so things are moving along there...
Just got off the phone with the guy I'd been emailing and I'm
Sounds good. And where are you heading, cruise-wise?
Going to Alaska!
Thanks, we'll see...I think it's a good sign that we've gotten this far, but I'm a little frustrated right now.
