I met this guy through on-line service. Yesturday we went out on our first date. It was really cool. The conversation was good and definately there was a spark. The question is...he IM me this morning telling what a wonderful evening he had (with me)...blah, blah, blah. He was in hury to work so his last message was "Let me know when you're free again"....What was it?! He wants me to tell him what day I'm free and then ,technicaly, I AM the one who planing a date, right? Should I just ignore it and see if he calls?

I would answer with a couple of possibilities ("I'm free next Tuesday and Friday evenings.

I would send him an email saying "thanks for your IM - I am free on ___ and look forward to talking to you again." For me, personally, I don't like being asked out on IM or email.

You could take the positive viewpoint that he has respect for your calendar and schedule rather than the negative viewpoint that the next date is up to you. Both Sheri's and Deena's response suggestions are excellent.
