If your in his class, it would be completely unethical of him to go out with you, even if he wants to, while you are in his class.

You say he's a "lecuturer". Is there another section you can transfer into? That way you could ask him out. You could tell him you were interested enough that you had transferred out of his section so that there would be no conflict of interest for him. If he's at all interested, I'll be he'll be extremely flattered.

But don't count on him being interested. What you describe happens fairly often.

You might even find that if you transfer out, and are out of his class a few days, the attraction will wear off quickly. But maybe not!

If he is sincerely interested in you and available he will ask you out on a date. if you only want a fling ask him out. There may be a rule against dating students.

thank you.....yeah, i do realize it happens pretty often...no he's not teaching me...but he will next term...i never quite understood why these relationships are supposed to be off-limits and unethical, though, but thanks again!take care
