Just wasting my time...
| Fri, 12-29-2006 - 3:36pm |
Two lunch dates, breakfast at one in the morning and a movie at my house later, we had made plans to go ice skating today, but the rink was crowded so we headed to the mall instead. I had planned to tell him that I liked him today and so when he dropped me off I asked him if there was a possibility that we could be more than friends. His reply: he "has stuff going on in his life right now." So, I'm thinking that this translates to me just wasting my time. Even though I highly doubt that I am, could I be wrong?

>He says he "has stuff going on in his life right now."<
Nine-and-a-half times out of 10 means "I'm not interested." He just doesn't want to hurt your feelings and/or doesn't have the cajones to say so.
My suggestion is to not even do the "friends" thing. You'll get caught in the "just friends" trap, and that's a place you don't want to be. Trust me on that.

Pianoguy (who IS a male) will never make a "love commitment" to a woman if the feelings aren't present. PG doesn't want to give anybody the wrong impression...especially when it comes to L-O-V-E!
So if you are like most women...you're probably more than a little frustrated by the lack of 'return' on your social time?
But in all fairness to both sexes...most of us socialize because we want to! We like your personality and the fact that your friendship adds a great deal to our lives. However, this DOESN'T mean we're going to make a life-long commitment to you!
The man who told you he "has stuff going on"---has already told you this! So you can either continue dating him and accepting his terms for what they are...or FIND SOMEONE ELSE whose feelings are more 'in sync' with yours?

He truthfully told you what he wants from you, you should believe him.
