Third Date Jitters
6
Fri, 11-30-2007 - 4:00pm

I have a third date tonight with a friend from college. The first date was in a favorite bar that's closng after 20 years. The second we met for coffee. Tonight I've invited him over for dinner. I think this will be the more revealing of the three dates because he'll get an inside look into my home life - complete with friends/roommates who will be joining for dinner and games afterward. As such, I am completely nervous.

Any tips?

The only tip that comes to mind is : be yourself.

Thanks for the tip.

For several reasons not disclosed in my original note I don't think it's too soon in this case, but I see your point.

If you for some reason feel that three dates is enough to introduce him to your loved ones, then it's your call. Good luck.

There'll be other people there and games and fun. It sounds like a nice, casual yet intimate homey date.

Thanks! It went really well. We've since been on two more dates. :-)

Absolutely. Although this time of the year and the pressure therein to have someone solid in your life might make you feel pressure to include him in your life.
