Fortunately for me, because of my years of volunteering at both my boys schools, and the subbing I've been doing on and off for the last couple years. My name is at the top of the list for a couple positions that are opening in the fall. But I needed to pass these tests (subject area and professional education) to be hired. Now that I've passed them, I can go back to the prinicpals and say "HA!" well, I could but I wouldn't say that.

Both of these positions are part-time, but they have told me I could do both and be considered full-time with benefits. So now I just have to speak with the Principal's, and let them know that I am available for hire.

BTW, my hubby hates my volunteering, says "If you're going to be there all the time, you might as well get paid for it." But now that I'm seriously doing that, his tune is "I forbid you to get another job outside the house, especially one where you may be gone some evenings, as that is our time together."

Ya know, after 20 years, we've had PLENTY of time together, and I can't see where being gone one or two nights every 3 months or so is such a big deal, but it is to him. Ah well, all I cared about was passing these tests. He didn't even wish me luck the morning I took the tests (it was a Saturday), instead he complained that I would be gone all day. My son (the 18yo) wished me luck that morning though.

Anyway, thank you for the congrats, hubby said, "well good, so now what are you going to do?" LOL, if he only knew!!!
