Hey everyone it's been a while since I last posted. Everything is going great. Alot of you probably remember my story. I was married for 13 years with 3 boys. My ex was very abusive to me and my children. We had to leave state because of fear of what he would do to me for leaving him. Well we've been gone for over a year now.

Now here's my big problem we are in a program that helps domestic violence victims get back on there feet. And now its time to get our own apartment and I am totally terrified. I have never lived on my own with my children. I am terrified that I am going to fall on my face.

We have come so far in this last year. I'm divorced now with full custody of my kids. I am a full time student getting my Bachelor's Degree in Archetecture. I have to children who are bipolar and on medication I homeschool the oldest one. I work full time.

Plus we all go to counceling. I have made many friends that I have come close to.

But I am still terrified about moving into my own apartment. I mean I have my own apartment here but the people who live here are in the program also. I just don't understand why I am so scared. I moved out of state to a city that I didn't know any one. I had no family no friends and I still did it with three children.

I don't know mayby I'm being a goofball.

LOTS OF HUGS

Hi honey...it's normal to be scared when we're stepping out of our current comfort zones into something new.

When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

Hi smileytot,

Do you go to church? My faith in God has increased a thousand-fold as a result of my experience with abusive relationships. Don't ever give up on God to get you through the tough times, to ease your fears, give you strength when you feel weak. With God, you can get through anything that Life throws at you! I will keep you close in my prayers.
