Update - tired of it

Thanks to everyone who has been posting for me. I appreciate knowing that I am not alone and that I am not the first one to go through this.

I finally went to our pastor and talked to him about how bad things have gotten. So I found out that DH quit going to counseling with him and that other therapist almost 6 months ago because our pastor got tough with him about whining all the time, and he told him to buck and try to move forward with life, despite being bi-polar. Well, I guess it pissed DH off, because he walked out and never went back. So I found out that he lied to me about it for the last six months. So he made an appt and went yesterday and is scheduled to go back to the Psychiatrist for a med-check in a few weeks and go back to his therapist after the first of the year.

He threw it all in my face with a "Are you happy now?" he was upset that I got on his case about. He feels like he is doing plenty to be "normal" and that I just need to quit antagonizing him. But, I really don't feel I am asking too much. I don't want/need to be shouted/cried/snapped at for everything and neither do DS and DD. DS understands way too much as a 10 yr. old and he gets really sensitive when DH starts yelling, DD doesn't know what's happening, just that she can't stand to see her Daddy cry. It ends up making me mad, because he will act like I did something to cause his behavior.

I started putting us on waiting lists for low-income housing, and put our names in for transitional housing. Also contacted a shelter about going there if we need to. I think I am done with all this. His "renewed" effort seems hollow to me, and I really can't go down this road again. I actually feel better today than in a while and I think it is because I am doing something about all this, rather than just sitting and waiting for something to happen.

Thanks for the support, and appreciate any continued prayers or thoughts that you have.

At least you're being proactive in your life.
