Results of the Bond Hearing

Here are the results...(I'm writing this mostly for myself to get some perspective and reflect, but thanks everyone for listening and for your support.)

The judge refused bond. My nerves are in check but I'm still a little shaken. I didn't show up but the prosecuter called and told me the details. I'm concerned about the consequenses I'll face with his mother-in-law. Apparently the prosecuter did say she was in touch with me and that I was in fear of my safety and that of the children. But she really didn't have to say that, she said, because dh had already upset the judge. the judge picked up on his arrogance and that he has a problem with authority. the judge apparently lectured him. DH is in probation violation for not completely his anger management and substance abuse program. A representative from the substance abuse program showed up and testified against him. DH's attitude was like "I didn't like the program." And "why can't i pick whatever program I want." No, the judge said. Which makes sense because the faith-based program didn't do drug testing, etc.

I hope his mother doesn't get angry at me or hold me responsible. The prosecuter talked with me for a while to assure me that this is something he is doing to himself. And I need to repeat that over and over again in my head. He's done this to himself. He's had plenty of opportunities to change and just didn't. He didn't take his sentencing serious the first time. And he's always thinking there's a way out of his consequences.

Thanks again for the support.

I wouldn't take what his mother says to heart. To a mother, her son can do no wrong. Look at Scott Peterson' mother.
