This is the time of year when I make my resolutions. This year I'm working on:

1. Getting More Exercise

2. Eating healthier

3. Taking better care of my health (have already set up several Dr. appts for next week)

4. Cleaning up my language (hard to believe a sweet girl like me has a potty mouth....lol!!!)

5. Being more social. I have been quite the hermit this year and I miss getting out and socializing.

Here is to a new and happier year!!!

Those are some good ones. I know what you mean about being a potty mouth. I could make a sailor blush! My H looks at me in amazement when I am on a roll. Good luck and Happy New Year. I guess my resolution is that I'm going to start making some tough decisions. I've been fence-sitting way to long.

1. I dont need to lose any more weight, but I want to make sure that I don't gain 30 lbs back that I lost, and I am going to workout alot and get buff!

2. I am currently researching becoming a certified yoga instructor, specializing in pregnant and post natal women.

3. broaden my social horizons...make some new friends...speak up at PTA.

4. continue NC with XOM, move on and not think about him.

5. take better care of my health, do a self breast exam every month!

6. Keep being a great mommy!

My resolutions are:

1. Take more time for ME.

2. Continue NC until it becomes a habit

3. Exercise more, however the NC is helping that - I am now working out twice a day...

4. Spend more time with my friends and family - I have been avoiding them since the A started. I hated lying to everyone about what I was doing.

Happy New Year!!!

I forgot to add one:

To paddle more this year.

(do you get in the water very often? Great place for peace, contemplation...)

Still think you have a great screen name.

Riverguy,

I try to get to the water as much as possible. It just "does" something for me, I can't explain it. It doesn't matter whether it is a pond, lake, river or ocean. Right now, I really need it, but can't do it for a few reasons. Until then, I am in the gym, working out like a mad woman. I find the days I don't workout, I am crying for hours...it has only been 2 days of NC but about a month of the headgames.

No need to explain it. I understand. I've paddled the northernmost tip of Maine, and the southernmost tip of FLa. I love the swamps!

Hoping to get out my cold-weather gear and float this week (for the first time in a couple of months!). You're not putting in for a couple of reasons...hmmnn... am I reading between the lines that the MM was a paddling partner? If so, get back out on the water! Join the local canoe club! Don't let him own that part of you, okay? Take it back, if so!

NC is one of the hardest, if not THE hardest thing I've ever done. Stay with it. You'll want to call, email or visit. DON'T! Delete addresses shortcuts, erase cell phone shortcuts, etc. You'll remember the numbers anyway, but erasing them gives you just a little more hassle in making the call you shouldn't make. NC is VERY VERY important.

Stay busy. Working out is good but don't over do it (I lost 12 lbs the first month, 5 more the next! -mostly from swimming & running-)

Good luck to you, dreamcanoe. I'm not here much any longer. When I come by again, I'll look for you & will be interested in how you're doing. This is a great place with a lot of help. Keep posting. Keep reading (heck; go back to Sept to read my histories if you want or are interested.. in the archives). Happy new year kiddo!

See you on the river!

My resolutions are:

1. Not just NC, but completely moving past the affair. I don't want to be 'ending it' anymore I just want to think fo it as over - ancient history.

2. Be healthier and happier. More exercise and to eat better and do more things I enjoy.

3. To keep kids on better schedules. Work on their weak areas with them.

4. To be more social and interact more with my wonderful friends and see more of my relatives.

5. To fall in love with my husband again. (Now thats a biggie since we've been fighting this entire holiday. Funny though how the longer you have NC the more the feelings return. I think this one will also be achieved by self reflection - anyway its huge, but I'm gonna try to tackle it)
