To everyone who knows me and has replied to me: I didn't know where to put this for you all to see. I just wanted to let ya'll know that one of you has sent me an e-mail, it was okay because there wasn't anything about me in it. But, my husband DID read it, and wondered what I was up to. He doesn't know that I do this. I don't want him to because this my place, I don't look at his sites, so I want this one to my self.

BOTTOM LINE: PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT SEND ME E-MAIL!!!!!

Hey cajun -- I had that problem, too... I had unchecked the box under my board settings, but still I was receiving emails (mostly from semi-pranksters not from this board). I contacted the iv customer service department and they were able to fix it. (However -- they sent me a bunch of email in the process of trying to fix it.) I also changed my listed email address to a secondary account that I use only for "junk" type correspondence.

What can I do if I don't have a second account and can't get one?

As long as you have internet access (which you obviously do), it is very easy to do; just go to www.yahoo.com, or to www.msn.com, and sign up!

I love having an extra account just to use for any company that might be collecting email addresses for mass mailings, instead of stuffing my main account full of their junk!

Just out of curiosity, why is your husband reading your e-mail? I would think that your e-mail would have a password. Do you share an e-mail account?

Just in case, I would suggest perhaps deleting your account and information and creating a new account that he does not have access too.

We share an e-mail account so I use his address and password. So he probaly thought the mail was for him and opened it, and then read it. He figured that's not for him so it's gotta be for me.

I would get my own e-mail account immediately. What exactly did this e-mail say? Does your husband know about the affair?!? I know if my husband saw something from ivillage's "Ending the Affair" board, I'd have a LOT Of explaining to do!

My husband knows nothing about the affair if he did I wouldn't be in this house talking to you right now.But the e-mail was from someone on this page that I gave advice to and she was just letting me know (in e-mail) that it didn't work and she was going through with the divorce. If he would see anything that said ending an affair I guess I would just have to tell him that I was reading other people's problems because I was bored and it looked interesting, and hopefully he would beleive me. But I would be in so much SH*T if he figured out a way that I am CAJUNREBEL and read about our problems that he never knew about.
