Could someone please tell me the definition of a narcassist? I've read that term so many times here and feel foolish because I don't know what it is. Just wondering if my xMM is one. Give me an example. Thanks :)

this explains a lot Pal.. hope it helps you to understand
all the best..

this would help even more Pal.. from the same site though
your question made me go more deep into the word narcissism and oh gosh.. was my OM an absolute N... gee I wonder if it is the same for u Pal
Wish you the best
Trish
Don't feel like a fool Pal I had to research what it meant too. Below is Symptoms of Narcissism
Feels grandiose and self-important (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents to the point of lying, demands to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
Is obsessed with fantasies of unlimited success, fame, fearsome power or omnipotence, unequalled brilliance (the cerebral narcissist), bodily beauty or sexual performance (the somatic narcissist), or ideal, everlasting, all-conquering love or passion
Firmly convinced that he or she is unique and, being special, can only be understood by, should only be treated by, or associate with, other special or unique, or high-status people (or institutions)
Requires excessive admiration, adulation, attention and affirmation - or, failing that, wishes to be feared and to be notorious (narcissistic supply)
Feels entitled. Expects unreasonable or special and favorable priority treatment. Demands automatic and full compliance with his or her expectations
Is "interpersonally exploitative", i.e., uses others to achieve his or her own ends
Devoid of empathy. Is unable or unwilling to identify with or acknowledge the feelings and needs of others
Constantly envious of others or believes that they feel the same about him or her
Arrogant, haughty behaviours or attitudes coupled with rage when frustrated, contradicted, or confronted....
And that Pal is the definition of my XOMM....I was so inlove with him I couldn't see he for what he was until I got away from him....It's a beautiful morning!!!!!!!! I had my cry last night...AGAIN! Woke this morning thanking my lucky stars I am rid of him for good.
Go foward put it all aside, you will feel better for it. Oh I am going to post shortly what my XMM pulled last night that backfired in his face...
I do have a Freshlife
Wow Trish and Freshlife,
I have determined that my xMM is not really a narcassist. Very few of these qualities fit him, and I think I may even be a narcassist more-so than him. HOWEVER, Every definition of the word, TOTALLY describes my 1st XMM. (Yes, I'm on #2, and final MM!!) 1st xMM was all that and so much more. I think that's why it was so easy for me to say goodbye to him. I wrote him ONE goodbye letter, and never turned back. I didn't even hurt after I ended things with him. Now I WISH my new xMM was a narcassist. I could probably let go so much easier. Thanks for getting me the definition. Now I don't feel so stupid!!!
