OK good people, I have my frowny face on today. I know you can help me figure this out(m)
I've read the book, rearead the book, consulted the book, experimented, exercised, drank more water, added carbs, subtracted carbs, cut out coffee almost entirely (I *enjoy* it - I don't *want* to give up that last half cup!) and I'm still stalled. It's officially a stall - 6 weeks now with the only action being an increase of a few pounds followed by the same decrease a few days later.
So here is what I will eat today. Could you guys please help me diagnose the problem and give me some suggestions?
First, let me say that I do my posting from work. Unfortunately, the new board format (grrrr!) is much more graphics intensive. I usually post during breaks, lunch, and when I have a program running (I test software). Well, the new board format is too slow and takes up too much bandwidth – I can’t attract negative attention to myself… So…. I won’t be able to answer so many posts. What I’ll do is compile answers to several posts in one big post, so I can type it up offline and then post it all at once. And don’t even get me started on how long it takes to use this new board format from home with my dial-up connection! Argh!
Also, still only minimal relief to my recent problem… but I’ll stay on top of it! I'm not in pain or anything, but I know I don't want to end up that way! Nuff said?
So here’s what today’s eating will look like. Please make any recommendations you can to help me diagnose this stall. Oh, more info - I'm in trace ketosis, I'm not at all hungry, and I don't have cravings (except for latte!) unless I'm surrounded by the smell of something that I used to enjoy.
12 ounces of water w/ morning supplements
½ cup of coffee w/ <1 T. of cream
Breakfast - 2 eggs, cooked in a very small amount of butter
30 ounces of water throughout the morning
1 cup of decaf coffee or carb-free decaf herbal tea w/ < 1 T half & half - only after 30 ounces of water. If it’s tea I add a pinch of stevia sometimes.
Lunch - 2c salad greens w/ ½ grilled chicken breast, <1 carb Ranch Dressing
30 ounces of water throughout the afternoon, if I can get it all in.
Snack - 1 small handful (a rounded T) walnuts
Dinner – 2 servings of chuck roast cooked in beef broth and 1 envelope of powdered ranch dressing seasoning mix. Topped w/ an ounce of swiss cheese (melted over top). ½ cup green beans. 1 cup salad w/ Ranch dressing.
30 ounces of water throughout the evening. (I actually have to use the kitchen timer to remind me to keep drinking!)
Usually a cup of herbal (no caffeine or carbs) tea w/ <1 T cream or half & half
Snack – 1 small handful (a rounded T) walnuts
12 ounces of water w/ evening supplements
I know I’m supposed to be adding carbs in till I stop losing weight, but I stopped losing weight immediately after induction so I don’t know what to do! I know you guys can help me, so do your magic! I'm thinking of resorting to a fat fast and can't imagine that it would truly be necessary.
